Salsa Beargrease Carbon SX Eagle
$2,499.00 $2,499.00 - $2,499.99 On Sale
Beargrease is constructed with a high-modulus carbon fiber frame. This material offers improved stiffness, better vibration damping, excellent durability, and weight savings compared to other frame materials. Its carefully designed geometry results in a fat bike that rides like a trail bike—it’s stable, steers well in loose conditions, and remains nimble and agile despite the massive wheels and tires. A low bottom bracket height is also key, keeping the rider’s center of gravity low, and making dabbing, dismounting, and remounting easier. Beargrease rolls on 27.5 x 3.8" wheels and tires. For groomed snow or dirt, the increase in diameter provides increased rollover, a longer contact patch, and the flotation of a 5" tire without the added rolling resistance. It’s also compatible with 26" and 29" wheels for dialing in the fit or terrain-dependent performance. The Beargrease Carbon frame features fully sleeved internal cable routing. This improves shifting performance in poor conditions, increases time between maintenance intervals, and makes running new cables and housing a breeze. It’s designed for the best drivetrain performance while maintaining narrow fat bike crank arms for less knee stress, with rider-friendly narrow Q-Factor cranks, a 1x optimized frame design, and room for up to a 32t max chainring. Beargrease Carbon features numerous accessory mounts, including toptube bosses for a Salsa EXP Series Toptube Bag (sold separately), 1 – 2 water bottle mounts inside the frame triangle (depending on frame size), and an accessory mount underneath the downtube. Plus, it’s compatible with dropper seatposts for true trail bike riding experiences. Beargrease Carbon SX Eagle delivers the same Beargrease carbon frame as its higher-priced siblings, but with the surefire performance of SRAM’s affordable SX Eagle 1 x 12 drivetrain. Rolling on SUN Ringle Mulefut wheels and 45NRTH Dillinger tires, with SRAM Level brakes and a dependable Salsa cockpit, this bike has everything you need to get your all-terrain adventure on.

Surly Ogre Disc Only Frameset
$675.00
If you’re like us, your bike needs will likely change by the day, week, month or year. Ogre will get you to your job during the week, then way out of town on the weekend. It even has the chops to handle a cross-country trek or nine. It’s not sluggish on pavement or gravel and can also hold its own on singletrack. Ogre is designed to be the ultimate steel utility vehicle. It relishes in those “take-the-long-way-home-and-find-some-beverages-along-the-way” sort of commutes. You can also haul enough crap on it that you don’t even have to go home if you don’t want to. For this year, we simplified Ogre a bit. We removed the canti studs, so it is now a disc brake-only beast. Now, before you start yelling at us about how the canti studs were the only reason you were even considering buying an Ogre and now we’ve left you contemplating your very existence in this ultimately-doomed universe, hear us out. Rim brake 29er rims — like the ones that you would need to have to make use of those canti studs in the first place — are becoming increasingly harder to find. We could have given you a feature that you’d end up not really being able to use in the future but what kind of monsters do you think we are? To quench your unquenchable thirst for rim brakes, check out the Troll. As far as other updates to the frame go, that about sums it up. Ogre still has everything else you’ve come to know and love: two water bottle mounts, four sets of three-pack bosses, mid- and low-blade fork eyelets, threaded holes for racks, fenders, and trailer mounting nuts, and a Rohloff OEM2 axle plate slot. It still features horizontal-slotted dropouts with Gnot-Boost spacing, a tweaked non-suspension corrected geometry, and a beefy tire clearance. It’s still fully compatible with both 29 x 2.5” and 27.5+ tires. In the complete bike version, we’ve opted to go with a 1x drivetrain and a flat handlebar. We typically try to avoid BS cliché terms like “Do-It-All” or “Swiss Army Knife of Bikes”, so we’ll just say that Ogre can probably handle most of the ideas that are bouncing around in your head.
