Weekly Ride Schedule

Looking for the opportunity to meet new people and enjoy the healthy benefits of bicycling. Join us for one of our group rides. We offer a choice of rides for road, recreation, and fitness. All rides are led by an experienced ride leader. There is no charge to participate. We maintain a "no drop" rule, but there may be times when there will be seperation and regrouping. If under 18, a parent or guardian must sign a release waiver and you must be accompanied by an adult biking partner on all rides. All riders must sign a ride waiver. Minnesota state law requires head and tail lights after dusk. Bring a cell phone for emergencies. Please ride responsibly. Rides do not occur on holidays or during inclement weather. Consider renting one of bicycles for your ride. We provide current model Trek bicycles to ensure your enjoyment and safety. For road rides consider the Domane carbon road bike. For mountain bike rides consider the X-Caliber 9 mountain bike. For winter adventure the Farley  fat tire bikes provide a memorable riding experience. Click here for rental information.

MONDAY NIGHT  " B+ / A- "  ROAD RIDE

  • Date: Mid-March (weather dependent) - September 28
  • Time:  Mondays, 5:30 pm.     
  • Route: Primarily on public roads. 
  • Distance: 25-50 miles
  • Avg. Speed: B+ / A- , 19+ mph average
  • Terrain: Varied, flat, some hills
  • Est. Time: 2.5 hours
  • Ride Leader: Scot Bolland
  • Rider Experience: Should have prior group ride experience and appropriate fitness.

TUESDAY NIGHT " C " FITNESS ROAD RIDE

  • Date: Week of April 13-September 19
  • Time: Tuesday, 6 p.m.
  • Route: Primarily on public roads. 
  • Distance: 25-30 miles
  • Avg. Speed: " C " level, 16 -17 mph average
  • Terrain: Flat, few hills
  • Est. Time: 1.5-2 hours 
  • Ride Leader: Tod Eckberg or Chad Thomas
  • Rider Experience: Faster and longer than the recreational ride. Still accommodates newer riders building strength and endurance.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT RECREATIONAL RIDE

  • Date: Week of May 13 -September 19
  • Time: Alternating Wednesdays, 6 p.m. 
  • Route: Primarily on paved paths.
  • Distance: 10-15 miles.
  • Avg. Speed: 10-12 mph average
  • Est. Time: 1- 2 hours. 
  • Ride Leader: Curt Hall
  • Rider Experience: Beginner. Have fun learning how to get the most out of your cycling experience.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT " A " AGGRESSIVE ROAD RIDE

  • Date: Week of March 18 - September 30
  • Time: Wednesday, 5:30 p.m
  • Route: Primarily on public roads.
  • Distance: 25-65 miles, depends on day light.
  • Avg. Speed: " A" level, 20 + mph average
  • Terrain: Flat and hilly, strenuous
  • Est. Time: 2-4.5 hours. Ride until sunset.
  • Ride Leader: Scot Bolland
  • Rider Experience: Prior group ride experience and appropriate fitness level.

THURSDAY NIGHT " B / B+ " SPORT ROAD RIDE

  • Date: Week of April 13 - September 19
  • Time: Thursday, 6:00 p.m
  • Route: Swift, fast paced ride taking more consistent routes on public roads. 
  • Distance: 25-45 miles, depends on day light.
  • Avg. Speed: "B / B+ " level, 16-19+ mph average. Most nights will be 2 separate groups riding the same routes. 
  • Est. Time: 1.5-2.5 hours.
  • Ride Leaders: Laurie McElmeel, Kyle Richert, Nate Wentz
  • Rider Experience: Prior group experience.

SATURDAY MORNING GRAVEL RIDE

  • Date: Mid-March, weather dependent.
  • Time: Saturday, 7:30 a.m. 
  • Route:  Gravel roads west of MGC. Pavement at the beginning and end of ride.
  • Distance:  30 miles. Rides will vary in terrain. 
  • Avg. Speed: 15 mph.
  • Est. Time:  2 hours.
  • Ride Leader: Scot Bolland
  • Rider Experience: Ride a gravel, cross, mountain, or fat bike.

SATURDAY MORNING " D " ROAD RIDE

  • Date: May 9
  • Time: Alternating Saturdays, 8:30 am. 
  • Route: Primarily on public roads with wide shoulders in good condition.
  • Distance:  15-25 miles.
  • Avg. speed: 13-15 mph.
  • Est. Time: 2 hours.
  • Ride Leader: Jean Tate
  • Rider Experience: Introduction to road riding and group ride dynamics. Focus on instruction and confidence building. Includes stop at local coffee shop. 

SUNDAY ELM CREEK SINGLE TRACK RIDE

  • Date: Weather dependent.
  • Time: Sunday, 3 p.m.
  • Route:  Start and finish at the main trail head. 
  • Distance:  Ride one lap route (13 miles) Elm Creek loop. Trail conditions must be dry. 
  • Avg. Speed: Varies
  • Est. Time:  2 hours.
  • Ride Leader: JC Griswold
  • Rider Experience: Open to beginner and experienced riders.
